In it, he shares details of trying to start a family with his wife, Emma Turner, and his hilarious and humbling take on IVF before their daughter, Shiloh Jean, was born in February 2024.“One of the coolest things about this tour was people DMing me months after coming to a show and letting me know they tried IVF and were successful,” Schulz tells PEOPLE exclusively. “They’d say they got pregnant and that the show made them feel less stigmatized about going down that path. I’m looking forward to people doing the same thing after they see the special.“Damon, who sports a long, scraggly beard in the promo, shot it right before leaving to film Christopher Nolan’sThe Odyssey. “Matt’s the man. We were in the trailer right before we filmed just riffing on the script and his ideas were hilarious. They made the sketch so much better,” Schulz says.“Also he’s a movie mega-star with no ego. It’s incredibly rare in this business. He was literally leaving Friday to filmThe Odyssey. I asked him if he would do the sketch and he said, ‘Can we film Thursday?’ Amazing dude.“Never miss a story — sign up forPEOPLE’s free daily newsletterto stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer, from celebrity news to compelling human interest stories.Schulz in his new stand-up special ‘Life’.NetflixSchulz hopes people who watch the special will “laugh their asses off, tap into their emotions a little bit and if anyone went through a similar fertility journey, I hope they don’t feel any shame or stigma about it afterwards,” he adds. “It’s brutal but it’s also hilarious.
