Lilo & Stitchis the latest Disney classic getting a live-action treatment.
In the first full trailer that debuted March 12, there are glimpses of the rest of the live-action cast: Sydney Agudong as Lilo’s sister and guardian Nani, Kaipo Dudoit as Nani’s friend David, andCourtney B. Vanceas social worker Cobra Bubbles.

Returning to theLilo & Stitchscreen franchise is Tia Carrere, who voiced Nani in the original animated film and its animated series and other spinoffs. She now plays new character Mrs. Kekoa, another social worker.

Like her character, the 7-year-old Kealoha hails from the Hawaiian islands, earning the part of Lilo after a wide search. “When I found out I was going to be Lilo, my jaw literally dropped and I couldn’t even believe it,“the actress told PEOPLElast June. “I rung my dad and I said, ‘I did it! I’m Lilo! I’m Lilo!’ And then they grabbed me and we jumped up and down. I was so excited!”

The live-actionLilo & Stitchis in theaters May 23. It’s one of many remakes of animated classics from distributor Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, includingSnow White(in theaters March 21) andMoana(in theaters July 10, 2026).
