Claire Holt‘s little man has arrived!

The Originalsactress, 30, and husbandAndrew Joblonhave welcomed their first child together: a son named James Holt Joblon, she announced on Instagram Friday.

“Everything they say is true. There is no love like it ❤️,” Holt captionedthe touching snapshot.

Joblonshared his own image, of Holt cuddling their newborn in her hospital bed, writing, “Claire — you are my hero. Thanks for doing such a good job cooking this sweet little boy,” and sharing that James arrived on Thursday, March 28, at 10:23 p.m.

Holtrevealed her pregnancy newson Instagram in October — seven months after revealing she had suffered a miscarriage and underwent aconsequent dilation and curettage procedure.

Reflecting on her miscarriage, the Australian actress said, “Younever forget the deep pain of loss. It dims with time but it informs many of your experiences.”

The following month, Holt shared that the couplewere expecting a son, writing on Instagram alongside avideo of the big reveal, “Gender Reveal PSA: If you are absolutely, positively certain you’re having a girl, perhaps don’t buy a lot of pink things and choose a name before you confirm … ”

It didn’t takelong for the guilt to creep in, she admitted: “I just remember feeling this sense of, ‘Oh my God, what have I done? Have I done something? Was this my fault? Should I not have gone running? Did I eat something bad? Was it because I wore perfume? Is it because I had a glass of wine two days before I found out I was pregnant?’ ”

But eventually, Holt embraced a forward-looking attitude, telling Dr. Elliot Berlin, “I feel I wouldn’t have met this little guy if that pregnancy had gone aheadand there must be a reason for that. … I’ve gotten to a place [where I think] there is a reason that happened to me and as awful as it was, I wouldn’t change it.”

The elegant fête featured a set of large blue balloons reading “OH BOY,” as well as delectable-looking fruit and vegetable spreads for guests to nosh on.

Instead of showering the pregnant star with gifts, all guests were askedto bring children’s books. However, there was one traditional shower element that did make its way into the event: a delicious blue cake.

“Theshower was such a special daybecause it made it all feel real for me. I pinch myself when I think about holding my little boy in my arms,” Holt told PEOPLE at the time. “It was really wonderful to have my family and friends together, many of whom had traveled a long way to be there.”
