Two decades before they appeared together inFive Nights at Freddy’s— which is out now on digital, 4K UHD, Blu-ray and DVD — the pair met when Hutcherson, now 31, was just a young kid.
“It’s his second huge franchise, and he’s just a movie star. It’s just really a joy to get a chance to work with him,” Lillard adds.

Hutcherson stars as a security guard who gets a job at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza andrealizes the night shift can be deadly, with Lillard as a career counselor who helps him get the job — but might have more under his sleeve.
Asked about how he came onboard, Lillard tells PEOPLE that he “got along great” with Tammi, “and I literally said to her, ‘Why me? There’s not a lot of this character in this movie.’ "
“And she said, ‘Yeah, but he’s like the Voldemort,’ " the actor adds, referring to the notoriousHarry Pottervillain. “To me, that’s really exciting — this idea that, potentially, he’s over overseeing all the evil in the universe, which is kinda fun.”

As for whether there might be moreFreddy’sfor the big screen down the pipeline, Tammi toldForbesfor an interview published in October, “I think we would all love to if this first one does well, and it seems like there’s an appetite to move forward with future movies.”
“I think we would all be so excited to do that. Here’s hoping,” she said.
Lillard tells PEOPLE now that those involved in the first film are “all hopeful that we get a chance to bring it back to life” in a sequel, “because I know the fans are itching for it, and I know that we’re all excited.”
“Every time we do a movie, it’s a little family,” adds theScreamalum. “We’re having fun on the journey, so we’re hoping we can come back.”
