In the new RoboCop trailer , Samuel L. Jackson claims that the American public refuses to have automaton patrolling the street . But when this happen in real life we should n’t reject it , because it could be a great thing .
This is not just an divinatory question anymore . It ’s already happening . Drones are right now flying around the United States . And the robots will come shortly enough .
Nobody is prosperous with this and it will get worst . I bed I do n’t care drone secretly float above or the musical theme of robots parade down fourteenth street , but I believe this has to do more with other issues rather than the convenience of such a strength .

First of all is the peril of human masters misuse these forces . The FBI is already using drones without warrants . Other ill-usage will come , and that should n’t be tolerated .

Then there ’s the throwback fear to the unsung beast mutual to all homo . We all can be fearful of the idea ofsome automatonlike hunt us down .

And of row , software can always go wrong . Not only like in dystopian movie such as The Matrix or Terminator — in which machines arise against their skipper — but in a more terrene way , with logic failure that may trigger black episodes .
But given dear software , good logical system — like following Asimov ’s Three Laws of Robotics — and good drill — with judicial control , transparence and public monitoring — I really reckon we will be more dependable with robot and flying drone than with a police force force that has demonstrated to have spate of mentally unstable — hey , we are human after all — and induction - happy people .
