Director Tommy Ibsen has plans … big program . This is the first poke for Exodus , a sci fi flick that he hop will be the first entry in a monolithic multimedia system franchise that will let in an Exodus video series , television biz , books and more . It depends on capture a few more angel at the European Film Market , apparently , but it sound delightfully half-baked :
Book of Exodus is a story about two brothers set in a upstage future , on an even more upstage satellite . The last of the human race lives in comfort and successfulness behind the wall of their colony , protected from the bloodthirsty and mindless giants roaming the wild . Only the Texas Ranger , a corp of elite soldier , are allowed to hazard beyond the gate , and the young private , Elias , will do anything to become one of the chosen . For the adventure , decidedly , but most importantly to show himself to his ambitious mother and his older brother , Jacob , a highly decorate veteran . Jacob , however , will not allow Elias to follow in his footsteps and does everything in his power to stop him , despite his young brother ’s obvious endowment as a soldier .
Convinced that Jacob only wants to eliminate the rivalry for their mother ’s esteem , Elias defies his brother ’s will and get together the elite force behind his back . But what he does n’t roll in the hay is that behind Jacob ’s hard and professional exterior , the age on the field of battle have leave behind his soul scarred and traumatized . In a last endeavor to protect Elias from stand the same fate , Jacob follows him into the wild , but before he can force him back to the city , Elias makes his first kill . Shortly after , the platoon is ambushed , and as the only survivors Elias and Jacob are taken captive by the giants .
This marks the beginning of a journey , not only into the alien world of their foe , but to the centre of Jacob ’s trauma as Elias discovers the truth about the giants .
So … family engagement and killer whale giants ? Well , you ca n’t blame the Danish for staying in their wheelhouse , I venture .
