Australia is best known for animals that are needlessly proficient at mangle things . The body politic is also home to the tawny frogmouth , an incredibly unintelligent looking bird .

Because they ’re big , nocturnal , and run to rust varmint , frogmouth are often mistaken for owls at night . No doubt , frogmouths find the comparability insulting . But on invoice of their feather colour and bizarre head form and , in daytime they ’re more often mistaken for branch . Based on the photograph above , it ’s quite effective .
I ’m pretty indisputable there ’s at least one bird in that tree , but depending on how I look at it there could credibly be as many as four . Congrats , you flying goofballs , you ’ve get my fooled .
