Buzz Lightyear Robot Responds to Voice Commands, Requires Little Imagination

I checked out the newBuzz Lightyearrobot today , which is sell this Fall for $ 130-$150 , and it proved that automaton toys still have a bit to go before they ’re really awesome .

There ’s some coolheaded poppycock to this toy , to be sure . It has original Tim Allen articulation work , which is nice , and it ’s obviously of solid mental synthesis . But it seems like its uses are pretty limited . Once your small fry has pronounce the twelve voice commands and has heard the quips and visualise the motion , there ’s not a lot to keep them coming back . sure as shooting , there ’s puppeteer mood that allow them to make their own sequence of motion , but it just does n’t scream “ flirt with me . ”

But you may see where these things are going . In the next couple of ten kids toy are going to be real - deal robot that actually play back . But until then , we ’ve got imposter - automaton that only respond to limited command and are therefore not that fun .
