At $ 350 , the QC35s strait wonderful with a few drawbacks . The headphones feature very bright — perhaps too burnished — sound at higher frequencies . The mids are just slimly muddy , and sea bass lover will be disappointed with the lack of thud . All that said , the tuning is n’t risky . It shines with most genres of euphony . I loved the brilliance I hear when listening to bluegrass , like “ Shady Grove ” by Kentucky Thunder , although cheesy disco like “ Stayin ’ Alive ” by the BeeGees sounded a bit strident . The vocals in “ Juicy ” by Notorious B.I.G. were crystal light , but I want more bass on “ Drop It Like It ’s Hot ” by Snoop Dogg . Every Radiohead strain I mind to sounded unbelievable , as did my favorite Dolly Parton call .

What frustrated me about the tuning was the fact that Bose does n’t offer an equalizer . This is becoming more and more usual , and the Parrot Ziks — which I ’d call the faithful competitor to the QC35s — have a cracking app — equalizer included . Bose does have an app , although it does n’t offer much functionality at all . you could pluck some scope , like turning off the very robotic vocalisation that tells you when you ’re connected to a twist . You ca n’t adjust the disturbance cancellation or access an equalizer , however . This is n’t a large deal , in the grander outline of things .

So we ’ve lecture about audio tone — very good , not perfect — and connectivity — refreshingly fantastic . That leave build quality .
