There ’s a sensation about 8,500 light - eld by that ’s spin so tight its airfoil speed outstrip 620,000 miles per hour . stargazer are familiar with these kinds of stars , but this one ’s wholly unparalleled in that it has a rather unknown companion : a black hole .
To date , astronomers have catalogued more than 80 of these Be case stars . They ’re typically members of a binary organization , with the companion being a neutron star ( collapse stars that are n’t big enough to form black hole ) . Amazingly , Be stars can gyrate at these horrendous speeds without breaking - up , producing huge motor forces .
The Be genius in dubiousness , MWC 656 , was first come across in 2010 . But Spanish research worker now say there ’s a black hollow spin out around it . Astronomy Magazinereports :

The black hole orbits the more massive Be star and is fed by matter ejected from the latter . “ The in high spirits gyration speed of the Be wiz causes matter to be ejected into an equatorial disc , ” said Ignacio Negueruela at the University of Alicante . “ This matter is attracted by the black mess and fall on to it , forming another phonograph recording , called an accretion disk . By studying the emission from the accumulation disc , we could analyze the motion of the black golf hole and assess its mass . ”
The astronomer think it ’s a member of a hidden universe of Be stars mate with black holes and that they ’re more common than late thought . alas , they ’re concentrated to detect because their black holes are fed from gaseous state ejected by the Be stars without producing much radiotherapy .
