Amanda Klootsis letting her wedding ring evolve with her life.
“I have not worn my wedding ring now for a couple of years and it was honestly making me so sad to see it in my jewelry box just collecting dust and not being worn,” Kloots said in anInstagram video. “But also I didn’t know what to do with it and it didn’t feel right to wear, especially because it didn’t fit any of my other fingers.”
Kloots shared that she contacted the designer of the ring, Stephanie Gottlieb to see if there was any way to repurpose the heart-shaped diamond stone to create a new ring that was more “casual” and that she could “wear every day,” but that still “paid homage” to the old one.
“It took a long time,” she admitted. “We went back and forth. I almost backed out a couple of times because it was making me so nervous to make this big change on this piece of jewelry that I loved so much, but we finally came up with a design.”

She explained that finding a new design that “fit my life now” was “tough” and said she had been “super picky” and “very nervous” to make the change to the ring, but in the end, she was happy with how it turned out.
